I've wanted to catch a girl in gothic lolita garb for ages. This girl's dress was exquisite and when I asked her for a photo she went to the trouble of putting on the bow that matched. I wanted to know whether gothic lolita was the style she was aiming for and when she confirmed I asked if she'd been to Japan. She said that she hadn't but that she was part Japanese. This put her on par with one of her friends, standing to the side, who had been to Japan but was no Japanese. I asked her friend if she'd been into Shinjuku, which I'd mixed up for Shibuya. Shibuya is one of the fashion centers of
