(1 in a multiple picture set) I was up before the sun on this day, heading to Grand Lake Lodge, hoping to get some shots of the sunrise on Grand Lake. Before Grand Lake, one drives beside Shadow Mountain Lake. I notice that eh water was turning a golden color. I found a place to pull off and shot this picture. It didn't look like much on the camera screen, but when I opened it, I was pleasantly surprised. This is why it is best to get up early. At no other time of the day does the world take on such pretty colors. If you snooze, you loose.
